In Conversation with Susan Parnell

Ahead of the launch event for ‘Africa’s Urban Revolution’, a new volume from Zed Books, we sat down with the book’s co-editor Susan Parnell to discuss the state of the continent’s cities today. Sue offered up advice to donors, reflected on the legacy of urban planning and highlighted the effects of global environmental change on cities. Sue compellingly tackles the anti-urban bias in development through presenting Africa’s future as “opportunely urban”; watch the full interview to find out why there’s cause for such optimism.
